Summary
The Town of Central is seeking a qualified Judge to preside over court proceedings, ensuring justice is served in accordance with the law. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the legal system and upholding the rights of individuals.
Responsibilities
- Preside over court cases, ensuring fair and impartial hearings.
- Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
- Conduct legal research to inform rulings and decisions.
- Draft legal opinions, orders, and other court documents.
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, litigants, and court staff.
- Manage courtroom proceedings efficiently to ensure timely resolutions.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and legal practices.
Requirements
- Jurisdictional qualifications to serve as a Judge in the state.
- Strong background in legal research and writing.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction in court settings.
- Experience with legal drafting and understanding of litigation processes.

Pay: $700.00 per month
Expected hours: 2 – 5 per week
Part-time Assistant Clerk of Court
The Town of Central is accepting applications for a part-time Assistant Clerk of Court/ Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office, computer skills, strong customer service and communication skills. Qualifications include High School Diploma/GED equivalent and 2 years’ experience and up to and including 4 years of clerical, legal, and/or courtroom experience. Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
